This module is focused on transport planning and model issues.
The transport network, in case of unexpected relevant event, is mainly used by rescuers and Civil Protection to bring help and evacuate people from the affected area. These two functions are usually in conflict; in fact the flow directions are opposite. In addition to this the mobility, not influenced by the event, should be guarantee minimizing time lost and avoiding congestion near the affected area.
Besides an introduction to transportation engineering and risk concepts, this module provides methods, tools, systems and generic procedures in order to work out traffic risk mitigation plans and transport emergency plans.
