Description
Andrea Galli was born in Bollate (MI, Italy) on February the 22nd 1976. He got a degree in Environmental Engineering in 2001 at Politecnico di Milano; then he attended the Doctoral School at Politecnico di Milano and he got a PhD in Seismic and Geotechnical Engineering in 2005. From April 2005 to April 2007 he got a Post-Doc fellowship at Politecnico di Milano (Dept. of Structural Engineering) on “Micromechanics of Granular media”. Since 2007 he is Assistant Professor at Politecnico di Milano. His main fields of interest are numerical modelling of mechanical behaviour of granular materials, the mechanical interaction between soil and structures, slope stability analyses, long term monitoring of unstable slopes and soil embankments.
